As you already heard That Tata Docomo has launched it new GPRS/EDGE Packs.I've rushed to my retailer and Subscribed to one of them as soon as i heard it (After a long time i've heard of GPRS packs from a trusted service provider After Airtel withdrawed its Airtel online Pack).So i want to share my experience with tata docomo internet with you guys...
About Tata Docomo GPRS/EDGE :
Tata Docomo Introduced Two Packs (Which are Unlimited at First,But now They Modified them Into Limited Which are as below)
Rs 15 Pack - Recharge With Special EVD 15 and get 3days browsing with an usage of 20Mb Absolutly free.
Rs 95 Pack - Recharge With Special EVD 30 and get 30days browsing with an usage of 100Mb Absolutly free.
*You have to ask the retailer to Rechare with SPecial (Not the regular balance System)
* we can browse Throuh Mobile,PC or Laptop (No restrictions at all)
My Experiences :
Browsing Speed is good.when I browse in wap browser which loads the basic mobile version of sites It is fast.Its also Good while browsing from Opera Mini in mobile.Pages are Opening at a click (I Have EDGE Signal In My Locality).Downloading Speed Is Very Good.Its Far Better than the Speed At Which i used to Download Using Airtel.The DOwnload Speed is 15kb/sec and Touching Max of 28kb/sec (at Night Off Peak Hours)I Have Also COnnected It To My Pc.The Speed Is reasonably Good And Easy to Connect.But The Only Disadvatage is Some Times The Speed Is Getting Too slow During Day time For few minutes (Thats not a Big Issue as i stay in Heavy Traffic area) It depends how much distance you are from the tower and what type of Tower it Is *(GPRS or EDGE).If "E" Comes on Top Of Signal its EDGe And If "G" COmes Its GPRS.
I Feel That Tata Docomo Has Come Into The market at right time and making Right moves by Introducing Such Attractive And Quality Services.They SHould Reintroduce the Unlimited tarrif plan Of GPRS/EDGE which was with drawn only for first 2days(dont Know what's The problem).Using Limited Internet Is a bit Tough for Some Heavy users like me.
If You Want to Experience It Go For It ! (Better You Go For 3days pack first,so that you can know the Speed and Performance in your locality)
